Braces Patient
Katherine had upper and lower braces treatment. The upper braces were clear ceramic brackets – not as aesthetic as Invisalign, but better looking than metal brackets. Her treatment took 13 months total. She had a moderate amount of crowding, especially in the lower row and an uneven smile line (the heights of the upper front teeth were uneven).

Braces and an Herbst appliance
This patient had orthodontic treatment for 28 months using braces and a Herbst appliance. Notice how the overbite and malocclusion were corrected to perfect!

Excessive overjet and crowding
A positive transformation can be seen after this patient had full metal braces on both rows to correct a crossbite, excessive overjet and crowding!
Tapered upper arch shape
This patient had a tapered upper arch shape making her smile narrow. She also had too much overjet. After 23 months of braces, note how you can see many more teeth, making for a much more attractive smile!
Misaligned Teeth
This 14-year old patient came in with misaligned teeth. Dr. Henry used braces for 21 months to straighten and align the teeth. He no longer holds back from smiling all the time now!
Crowding and Bad Bite
This 9 year old has crowding and a very bad bite – the upper teeth are biting inside of the lower teeth in front. Dr. Henry recommended Phase I treatment using an expander followed by limited braces on both rows. Total treatment time took only 12 months and look at the difference!
Lower Tooth Biting Outside of the Upper Teeth
This patient had a lower tooth biting outside of the upper teeth – a dangerous position – note the recession on the lower tooth. After only 4 months of limited upper braces, all of the teeth are in much better positions! This is a good example of the benefits of Phase I treatment. Conditions like this just can’t wait until the child is 12 years old and has all of their adult teeth in.
Crooked Smile as Well as a Bad Bite
This 9-year-old girl came in with a very crooked smile as well as a bad bite. Dr. Henry used an expander to widen the upper arch and then limited upper braces for just 6 months. Wow! What a huge difference! Look at that great smile!
Misaligned Teeth
This young lady had braces for 20 months. You can see what a big difference it makes in a smile when all of the teeth are straight. Also, imagine how much easier it will be for her to clean her teeth!
