Being a dentist is a coveted gig around the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report, which raked it the No 1 job of 2015!
Dentists and orthodontists alike work hard to make sure your teeth as well as your overall oral health are in check. They also understand that having a good healthy smile requires having a good work/life balance. This good work/life balance has helped this line of work receive a top spot on the jobs list and a projection of 23,000 new dentist jobs are expected through the year 2022.
Dentist jumped up two spots from 2014, when Us News ranked it the third best job in the nation. And for the second year in a row, dentist also ranked #1 overall on the “Best Health Care Jobs” list, beating out other jobs such as a nurse practitioner and physician.
A low unemployment rate, a decent work-life balance, a good salary and a predicted employment growth of nearly 16 percent between 2012-2022 are the four reasons U.S. News chose dentist as the No 1 job. On top of that, Dr. Henry loves his job for the rewarding experience of working with great patients and helping them improve their smiles!
Have you considered being a dentist? If not, maybe it’s time to reconsider!
